A sample of material, some figurative visuals from which large flat areas of color stand out... the brief submitted to Messieurs Agency by Sandrine Demas was succinct, but it directed towards the ice floe, with this indication "in this collection, it is the material which must spring forth.” By playing on scales, flat areas, textures and mottled colors, the initial figurative will operates at the limit of the abstract.

“We sought to create an atmosphere that was not first-rate, while setting a decor with a strong theme.” What emerges is an extremely coherent collection where rugs and objects work as well together as independently.

“We worked on the armchair and the pouffes like blocks of ice, which are nested within each other, with cracks and faults. From a volumetric point of view, there is no identical angle, both in height and depth. And it works perfectly with rugs. However, these are not sculptures. Our priority was comfort.”
